our rooms & extras

A group of six smiling people, including two children, pose in front of a nautical-themed backdrop with a sign that reads "Escaped the Shipwreck!" and hold signs with humorous messages, celebrating a fun event or party.

Escape the Shipwreck

Since we're located on the Bolivar Peninsula, surrounded by water, ships and history, it only made sense for one of our original rooms to be inspired by life along the coast.

A storm is approaching, and the beacon at the Point Bolivar Lighthouse has gone dark. A barge carrying oil is racing toward the Intracoastal Waterway, but without the lighthouse beacon, the crew can't safely find the entrance. If the barge runs aground, the result could be disastrous.

Everyone else has already left.

Your team is the last one there.

You have 60 minutes to restore the lighthouse beacon, guide the barge to safety and prevent a shipwreck.

And once you've saved the day, don't forget one last thing…

You still have to save yourselves.

FINAL MISSIONS — Escape the Shipwreck is retiring soon. Experience it before it's gone!

Vintage military desk setup with a lantern, a wooden box labeled "Fort Travis" with a padlock, a green military helmet, maps, a spiral notebook titled "Mission Objective: Code Red Rescue," a radio, and various military documents and keys.

Code Red Rescue

Our rooms are INSIPRED BY, not located at, the places, history and stories of the Bolivar Peninsula, so Fort Travis was a natural setting for Code Red Rescue.

A normal day suddenly becomes an emergency when an unexpected explosion leaves your team as the only people available to respond.

Your mission is no longer simply to escape.

Search the recreated Fort Travis, uncover what happened, solve the puzzles and complete the rescue operation before time runs out.

You'll need teamwork, communication and some quick thinking to make the right decisions along the way.

Can you complete the mission and get everyone to safety?

Leave no one behind.

Our escape rooms are

located at Bolivar Escape Room

not inside the actual historic landmarks.

We recreate local places and stories so you can experience a little piece of Bolivar Peninsula history through the adventure.

Rescue Me, Bolivar the Ferry Dog

Just to make this clear, this is not an escape room. It is, however, the story of one of the most famous escape artists we've ever had.

This is the story of an abandoned dog. He was left here on the Peninsula, and his only thought was to stay alive and somehow get home to his family.

I, along with others here in Port Bolivar, tried to catch him many times. Then a storm began heading toward us, and I had a week to catch him. I made it my mission to gain his trust and get him somewhere safe before it was too late. I wasn't going to leave him behind if we had to evacuate.

This is our story — the one the two of us lived for the three weeks before he finally left the Peninsula.

It will make you cry. I can almost promise you that.

Rescue Me: Bolivar the Ferry Dog is available to purchase here at Bolivar Escape Room as an add-on, and is also available on Amazon.
